Bill & Ted's Unalienable Adventure: Declaring the Independence to be Excellent to Each Other
The program is a three-act presentation about the Declaration of Independence, using themes from the 1989 movie Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. It explores the ideas behind the Declaration, and how it influenced the development of legal philosophies including natural law and positivism. The program also outlines some of the unique results of our federal structure, including different government agencies working together (or opposed), and the ideas of limiting government power. This is explored in light of the modern conflicts that have arisen between state governments and the federal government.
