The Music of Britney Spears: Before, During and After the Conservatorship Battle
Britney Spears' conservatorship (2008-2021) and her music (1999 to present) touches upon many areas of California Law: Probate (Conservatorship) Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, Child Labor, Mental Health Issues, HIPAA, Animal Welfare, and the U.S. Constitution.
Jeopardy, America's Favorite Quiz Show®, was used to present the program which delved into all these areas of law. The categories were named after various songs released by Britney Spears before the conservatorship was established, during the time of her conservatorship, and after the conservatorship was terminated in 2021. A biography of Britney Spears was presented to provide background and was peppered with answers contained in the Jeopardy presentation. It was an informative and rousing competition. At the conclusion of Jeopardy, the winning team was announced and allowed to choose from the available prizes. Prizes were awarded to the top three teams. Participation gifts were provided to all audience members. In addition, the full-length version of the Britney Spears song “Right Now (Taste the Victory)” was played since the lyrics are about winning, champions, and victory.
