The Legality and Legacy of the Declaration of Independence

A debate and unique discussion between leading British and American jurists moderated by legal scholar Jeffrey Rosen, CEO Emeritus of the National Constitution Center. The debate will assess the now 250-year-old Declaration of Independence—the first document in the history of the world asserting a whole people’s right to choose their own government—through competing American and British perspectives. It promises to be entertaining, informative, and timely.
