Inspired by the classic board game, “The Game of Life,” the focus of this program was on Family Law, with the main characters navigating life as a couple and addressing issues and challenges that require legal counsel. Act 1 addressed the start of the relationship, the decision to get married and the issues the couple faces in crafting pre-nuptial agreements, pre-marital property acquisition, and attorney representation of both parties to the pre-nup. In Act 2, the characters' relationship had progressed, adding children to the equation, stable successful careers, and eventually, infidelity—this Act addressed property acquisition before and during the marriage, mid-marriage agreements and changes to the pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements and considerations, and fee agreements in Domestic Relations matters. In Act 3, we see our characters relationship come to an end—this Act deals with post-nuptial and divorce issues, Attorney representation and advice/conflicts, and venue and ethical considerations in dissolution of marriage proceedings.
