This program commemorated the centennial anniversary of the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment. Due to the pandemic, this program was presented via Zoom. First, presenters showed a pre-recorded reenactment of the Trial of Susan B. Anthony based on the 1873 transcript of the trial. Following the reenactment, audience members were randomly assigned to breakout rooms where the most senior attorney in each room led a guided discussion regarding the landmark decision of United States v. Virginia, 518 U.S. 515 (1996), which struck down the longstanding male-only admission policy at the Virginia Military Institute. The decision was authored by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. During the breakout session, inn members discussed the differing interpretations of the Fourteenth Amendment in Susan B. Anthony's trial and in United States v. Virginia, as well as the late Justice Antonin Scalia's dissent.
