Love’s Lawyers Lost
Finding, maintaining and ending a romantic relationship can be analogous to finding, maintaining and ending an attorney-client relationship. Many of these ironic analogies are exposed and explored in this Valentine’s Day-themed presentation of “Love’s Lawyers Lost,” including the various stages of the attorney/client relationship, the legal and ethical repercussions of beginning an attorney/client relationship, what happens when the relationship declines/ends, and the after-effects of the end of the relationship. The presentation consisted of a three-act play, supported by descriptive, entertaining PowerPoint slides, and interactive discussions about the common pitfalls attorneys face and how to handle those issues in light of the legal and ethical rules.
