How to submit a nomination:

Nominations must be submitted using the online nomination form.  

Please note: The Nominee must be alive at the time of nomination.

If you have additional documentation, letters of recommendation, or if others wish to submit a letter of recommendation to support your nomination, that material may be sent to:

Deadline for nominations:

  • The online nomination form must be submitted by June 1.  Additional materials sent separately must be emailed or postmarked by June 1.

How recipients are selected:

  • A national committee of the American Inns of Court selects the honoree.  The selection is typically made by June 30.

When and where the award is presented:

  • The award is presented annually each Fall at the American Inns of Court Celebration of Excellence at the Supreme Court of the United States.
