The Celebration of Excellence is an annual event at the Supreme Court of the United States to honor individuals that have contributed their talent, time, energy, and resources to furthering the ideals of the American Inns of Court. The black-tie evening begins with a reception, followed by dinner in the Great Hall and then the awards presentation is held in the Court Room. The A. Sherman Christensen Award, the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Award for Professionalism and Ethics, the Sandra Day O'Connor Award for Professional Service and the Warren E. Burger Prize will be presented and the 2010 Circuit Professionalism Awards recipients will be recognized. The evening is always a memorable event.
Associate Justice Clarence Thomas will host the 2010 Celebration of Excellence at the Supreme Court of the United States on Saturday, October 23, 2010.
The 2010 invitation and an interactive response card will be available August 15 on the related links panel to the right. The response card allows you to type in your information, save and print the file. When completed you may email, fax, or mail the response.

The American Inns of Court Foundation block of rooms at the Washington Court Hotel has expired. There are a few rooms still available if you book on the Web taking advantage of their Fall special www.WashingtonCourtHotel.com. The hotel is located at 525 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. just a few blocks from the Supreme Court of the United States.
Transportation will not be provided to the event. Cabs are available from the hotel, and unless you plan to walk back to the hotel, it is recommended that you plan to schedule transportation back ahead of time.
